Most of the season the Anza-Borrego Desert is a formidable, albeit beautiful place to visit.  With breathtaking mountain and desert views, deep canyons, spectacular stars at night, and some of the best hiking and camping available, the desert is an outdoor-lovers paradise.  But in the Spring the desert changes, and under the right conditions comes alive with color.  Winter rains feed desert wild flower seeds much needed water to germinate and the result can be nothing short of spectacular.  A trip to the desert during this time is a must-do for anyone wanting to see the desert in all its glory.  A bottle of wine and a picnic lunch are an absolute must!
