What is Solo Barrique?

Solo Barrique is an exclusive single barrel program for our wine club members.  Following each harvest we sample the new wines from each barrel and hand select 4 individual barrels (or “barriques”) and remove them from our regular barrel program.  Over the following 24-30 months we work with these barrels to improve each individual wine’s balance, structure and complexity.  The process is very labor and lab intensive and rather costly.  The resulting wines however, represent the best Hawk Watch has to offer.  These small barrels yield less than 24 cases of wine each, so the wines are extremely limited.  The best part is that as a wine club member, you have exclusive access to both taste and purchase these rare bottles.

We expect these wines to sell out rather quickly since they’re so limited, so if you’re a wine club member you have a few options:  First, you can simply taste and purchase bottles when you visit our winery.  The only catch with this option is that there’s no guarantee that the current release will still be available since there’s so little of it and it may be sold out before you have a chance to visit our tasting room.  The second option is to reserve bottles of each quarterly release and have them added to your standard wine club package each quarter.  There is a minimum of 2 bottles per quarter if you choose this option however.  By reserving your 2 bottles each quarter you ensure that you will receive these exclusive releases when they are made available.  The cost for each bottle is $58.  Only 20 cases of each release will be made available for wine club members to purchase and/or reserve and once they’re gone, they’re gone forever!
